New pants for Lilah. Size 6-9 months. These are for just the house for playing in. I made them from old pj pants of mine or scrap material laying around. The black pair were my old comfy Banana Republic pj pants.....SO SOFT!!!

I'm very happy with how these turned out. My hem's look pretty darn good!!

Toddler PJ's

Pretty little girl PJ's made out of soft velor material in champagne and chocolate colors. I was so happy when I completed these and put them on her to see how they fit. I feel like this was the first set I have made that was easy from start to finish with no mess ups or unpicking. They just turned out beautiful!

Emmy was very happy with them too. She kept feeling how soft they were!

Shoe Organizer & Applique Name Pillows

I have to be organized in order to have 2 fashion forward daughters in one room, hahha. I use to keep all of their shoes in a small child sized shoe organizer, but we quickly out grew it's 6 pockets and then I started sitting their shoes on top of the dressers, but soon it became a pile and I really miss having the dresser top for picture frames and 'pretties'. After looking around online to buy a larger shoe organizer I decided to make one because I couldn't find one with child sized pockets in girl colors. I really like that this one is made out of scraps that I had laying around. They are from other projects that I've done for the girls so it's almost a collage of some of the things I have made for them.

The color is off in these photos. The green on their walls is a very happy lighter spring green and here it looks muddy. The shoe organizer is really much brighter than it shows here too.

It's hidden behind the door. I hope this will stop Emmy from taking out all the shoes. I hung it up using those velcro wall stickers. I had to stitch them to the fabric on the top back and the other ones I stuck directly to the wall. This is pretty heavy and I'm impressed that it's holding.

Filled and boy does this look so much better than the pile of shoes on top of the dresser.

The pink fabric with dots is from Lilah's car seat cover and the Aqua with dots is from Lilah's newborn car seat cover and the lighter pink fabric is Barbie material that I used when I made a cover for their new kiddy couch. The background material is the same as the stroller liner I made a few weeks back.

I was inspired by a gift that my friends new little baby got. I decided to try my hand at applique and for my first attempts I'm pretty happy. Each of the girls has one and I used a beautiful fabric one of my best girlies gave me *thanks* on the other side. This way they double as couch pillows on one side but fun and funky on the other and I think the girls will really like them! I definitely learned alot while making these and now know what to change to make them turn out better next time.

I can see myself getting obsessed with applique. It's sooooo fun!!

I finally got around to snapping a picture of the cute car seat cover I made for Emmy. We got the Lilah's seat installed yesterday and it's now just waiting for her to get here! Sorry for the blurry photo.

Lilah's Infant Car Seat Cover

I decided to make a new cover for the baby capsule along with new padding. It has 4 layers of foam encased in fleece underneath and the cover is made out of a canvas material in aqua with purple, pink, white, and green poky dots. I also was able to get on a chest plate clip to up the safety of the car seat. For those of you who have not seen these clips the keep the straps from slipping off the baby's shoulders and in a car accident this could mean the difference between the baby being able to project out of the car seat or not. Pretty important feature if you ask me!

Newborn Fairy Costume

Emmy's first birthday party is coming up and Lilah will be around 3-4 weeks old and I wanted to include her in the fairy theme and made this cute tutu and paired it with a matching onesie.

I still have the wings to make and I'm undecided on how I'll do them. I'm leaning towards super tiny delicate soft wings attached to the back so when she is laying on them they will not feel uncomfortable at all. I also kept the tutu free in the back so it's comfy to lay on and it's made with elastic for easy removal without taking off the whole outfit.

Oh So Soft T-shirt Newborn Gown!

This was my trial run at making a newborn gown out of old T-Shirts. Both shirts I cut up to make this were super worn in and soft. The pattern calls for some elastic on the bottom to keep it from riding up, but I haven't put that in yet. I want to wait and see how it fits before I decide to do that. I got the idea from here.

I have some Tori Amos concert T-shirts that I have never worn so I think I will be cutting them up and making some fun tiny tees for the girls out of them. I also wanna go digging in some thrift stores and find some gems to reconstruct into fun kid clothes!

Here's my first attempt at making a hooded jacket with ears with matching footed pants. It's size medium. I think it turned out cuter than I thought it would. Depending on how it fits her this coming winter I'll make another one in a more delicate soft print.

Care Bear Winter Suit

I wanted to create a separate space to post some of the fun things I get to do for the girls. I have no idea how much I will get to post here since I keep up the baby blog plus take care of 11 month old and in 2-3 weeks a newborn plus a husband and household. Busy bee :)

Currently I'm working on making a winter jacket and footed pant set for Lilah that has little bear ears on the hood and the material is lime green with Care Bears. I bought the material to make blankets with, but thought I'd give this pattern a go and if it turns out really nice I'll make another one in a much cuter material. I'll post pic's as soon as I get it completed!
